It sits inside a wider group: Wuhan Gelanruo Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. was established in March 2018 and the robot subsidiary was set up in May 2025 to take on whole-robot development and manufacturing. The group's other divisions make precision instrumentation for the power industry, including online monitoring for instrument transformers and dissolved-gas analysis in transformer oil, and ultra-precision active vibration isolation and high-precision motion control systems, which is where the motion and damping expertise behind the robots comes from. Its stated engineering themes for M1 are heavy-load walking with dynamic load posture compensation, high-torque integrated joints with impact buffering and thermal management, and a safety system built on hardware redundancy, fault self-diagnosis and millisecond emergency braking, alongside real-condition testing, open secondary-development interfaces and multi-industry customisation. In 2025 the company won the Gaogong Golden Globe Exploration Pioneer Award, showed its family of robots at the East Lake Forum in Wuhan, and appeared at SEMIEXPO Vietnam 2025, CIOE 2025 and CSEAC 2025 through its precision division.
