General Motors Company (GM) is a US automotive manufacturer founded in 1908 and headquartered in Detroit. GM develops vehicles and mobility technologies under brands including Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac. In humanoid robotics it co-developed Robonaut 2 with NASA for space-station assistance and future industrial or exploration tasks; the project was a research and demonstration program rather than a commercial product.
