Reflex Robotics, Inc.
Reflex Robotics, Inc. is a United States robotics company founded in 2022 and based in New York, whose stated aim is to build the first humanoid delivering reliable work shift after shift. It was founded by graduates of MIT and describes its team as drawn from Anduril, Oculus, Amazon, Waymo, Skydio, Boston Dynamics, MIT, ASML, Jane Street and Joby Aviation, and it says of itself that it is obsessed with shipping robots. Its robot, which the company also calls Reflex, is a general-purpose wheeled humanoid: rather than legs it uses a wheeled chassis with a vertically adjustable body, which the company argues is the right engineering trade for warehouses and factories, with its chief executive saying plainly that the robot does not need to climb stairs or do gymnastics in warehouses. The platform combines production-grade hardware, a supervised reliability layer and Reflex Intelligence, so the robot completes a job end to end, recovers from real-world variability under human supervision, and becomes more autonomous over time as supervised work is logged and learned from. It is claimed to reach a combined payload of up to 45 kilograms across both arms, weighs around 80 kilograms, and runs for more than 16 hours on a charge, with hardware cost compressed to roughly USD 10,000 and market pricing below USD 50,000 against an industry norm the company puts at USD 150,000 to 250,000, on the promise of a one-year return on investment. Deployment is deliberately integration-free: the robot uses a customer's existing carts, monitors, scanners and touchscreens, and begins with teleoperation by a remote operator who can bring it to operational capability within about 60 minutes, with autonomy learned from human demonstrations afterwards. In 2024 Reflex ran a pilot with GXO Logistics, described as the world's largest third-party logistics provider, deploying 10 to 20 robots with plans to scale to hundreds, and in February 2026 it announced plans for Latin America's first humanoid robot manufacturing facility in Nuevo León, Mexico, a plant expected to create more than 2,000 jobs and to serve as an operational node from which Mexican teams remotely monitor and control robots deployed in United States factories. The company was named to the Robot Report's RBR50 list for 2025 and is backed by Khosla Ventures, Liquid 2 Ventures, Collab Fund, 8090 Industries, Tishman Speyer and SNR.
