ROBOTERA was founded in August 2023 as the only embodied intelligence company backed by Tsinghua University. Founder Jianyu Chen is a Tsinghua PhD advisor and assistant professor. From day one, ROBOTERA has followed an integrated hardware-software path, building general-purpose embodied agents and delivering scalable productivity so robots can empower every industry and enter every home. In July 2025, ROBOTERA announced nearly 500 million RMB in Series A financing and has achieved scaled product delivery; among the global top 10 tech companies by market cap, 9 are ROBOTERA customers.
