AI Sapiens is ROBOTIS's open-source humanoid platform for Physical AI, built on in-house DYNAMIXEL Q QDD (Quasi-Direct Drive) actuators with efficiency, low backlash and torque-level control suited to dynamic balancing and manipulation. It has 23 full-body DOF (head, arms, legs, waist). Policies trained with imitation learning and reinforcement learning can be deployed on real hardware rather than only in simulation. The platform is fully open source with repositories and learning materials released for forking, auditing and building on; the first model K0 open-sources hardware, software and training results.
