Cinnamon 1

Cinnamon 1 is the current humanoid robot from Japan's Donut Robotics, presented by the company as the world's first mass-produced bipedal humanoid equipped with gesture control and as the first mass-produced bipedal humanoid from a Japanese brand. The official product page gives a height of approximately 170 cm and a weight of approximately 70 kg, so it is built at roughly human scale. Its distinguishing capability is "Silent Gesture Control", which lets a person operate the robot through gestures rather than speech or a controller; the company describes this as a world first. On the AI side it carries a vision-language model that understands images and language, and Donut Robotics says it has begun developing its own vision-language-action system that spans language understanding through to action, part of the company's stated ambition to build the control intelligence for humanoids in Japan. Cinnamon 1 was initially aimed at construction sites and factories, and the official page states it has already been introduced to major companies. The robot currently runs on an overseas OEM body fitted with Donut's own AI, with the company stating that both hardware and software are intended to become entirely Japanese-made. The successor model, Cinnamon 2, is scheduled to be unveiled in autumn 2026.
