Nao is a 58 cm, 5.4 kg education/research humanoid robot with 25 DOF, originally developed by Aldebaran Robotics (France, acquired by SoftBank in 2012). It walks bipedally, converses, recognizes objects/faces and is programmable through the NAOqi operating system, and is widely used in universities, schools and research labs worldwide.
