Aishida Co., Ltd.
Aishida, or 爱仕达, listed on the Shenzhen stock exchange under 002403 and legally named Aishida Co., Ltd., is a Chinese manufacturer whose main businesses are cookware, small appliances and robots. It began in cookware and the group's chairman Chen Lingqiao describes 48 years of cookware manufacturing as the foundation of everything since, which places the founding in the late 1970s, ahead of its 2010 listing. Its route into robotics ran through the acquisition of Qianjiang Robot, which its own filings describe as one of the domestic robot makers with the most complete coverage of payload capacity, and robotics is now a main business line rather than a side venture. The corporate structure shows how deliberate that is: wholly owned subsidiaries include Shanghai Aishida Humanoid Robot Co., Ltd, Shanghai Aishida Robot Co., Ltd, Shanghai Aishida Artificial Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd and Shanghai Aishida Industrial Technology Co., Ltd, with Shanghai Aishida Kitchen Appliances held at 70 per cent and Shanghai Aishida Automation Systems at 60 per cent. At its 2026 Ecosystem Partner Conference in Shanghai on 13 October, themed embodied ecosystem and deploying the future, Aishida showed its self-developed ASD-S2 humanoid robot and set out a strategy of running industrial robots and humanoid robots as two parallel lines, with the chairman describing cookware as the root, Qianjiang Robot as the base and embodied intelligence as the group's new growth curve, each reinforcing the other. In 2026 it formed strategic cooperations with AgiBot Innovation, MagicLab and Tihu. Its pitch to the industry is manufacturing capacity rather than only its own robot: the deputy general manager Liang Rui says Aishida can take a product from core components through complete machine assembly, test validation and volume delivery and will offer OEM and ODM services, positioning itself as a full-stack enablement platform for the embodied intelligence industry, supported by component and complete machine manufacturing bases in Shenzhen, Shanghai, Taizhou and Jiashan. It also opened the Aishida Smart Valley embodied intelligence innovation centre. Commercially it has already put robots to work in its own retail channels: from 28 to 30 September humanoid robots worked in 100 stores across 63 cities, and the company reports that sales at those stores rose 39 per cent year on year during the campaign. The first Aishida unmanned retail warehouse opened on 28 September, with a plan for a thousand humanoid unmanned warehouses nationally covering home goods, milk tea and coffee; humanoid robots named Aibao and quadruped robots have entered communities, with a three-year ambition to reach a hundred thousand communities; and at its own manufacturing base quadruped robots already run autonomous inspection routes. ASD-S2 is the company's own humanoid, with 31 degrees of freedom, a 5 kg single-arm payload and a top speed of 4.5 m/s, aimed at research institutions and algorithm companies for embodied intelligence development and validation as well as demonstration work such as human interaction and song and dance.
