ASD-S2
ASD-S2 is the humanoid robot a cookware company built, and the interesting part is what Aishida did with it. The robot itself is modestly specified and honestly positioned: 31 degrees of freedom, a 5 kg single-arm payload, a top speed of 4.5 m/s and a height of 1.4 m, aimed at research institutions and algorithm companies that want to develop and validate embodied intelligence algorithms, with the usual demonstration capabilities in human interaction and song and dance. Where it differs from most humanoid launches is that it went to work immediately, in the company's own retail channels: from 28 to 30 September 2026 the robots were deployed in 100 stores across 63 cities, and Aishida reports that sales at those stores rose 39 per cent year on year over the campaign. The company has since opened its first unmanned retail warehouse and says it wants a thousand of them nationally, sent the humanoid, named Aibao, and quadruped robots into communities with a three-year ambition of a hundred thousand communities, and put quadrupeds on autonomous inspection routes at its own manufacturing base. The strategy behind it is explicitly about manufacturing rather than only robots: 48 years of cookware production as the foundation, Qianjiang Robot as the industrial robot base, and embodied intelligence as the new growth curve, with Aishida offering partners OEM and ODM manufacturing from core components to volume delivery and positioning itself as a full-stack enablement platform, supported by strategic cooperations with AgiBot Innovation, MagicLab and Tihu and manufacturing sites in Shenzhen, Shanghai, Taizhou and Jiashan.
Research and development and embodied intelligence algorithm validation for research institutions and algorithm companies; retail guidance and store service, where the robot has been deployed in 100 stores across 63 cities; unmanned retail warehouses, with a plan for a thousand nationally; community service and public welfare, with a three-year goal of a hundred thousand communities; and inspection work at the company's own manufacturing base, where the quadruped robots run autonomous routes.
