Chengdu CRP Robot Technology Co., Ltd.
Chengdu CRP Robot Technology Co., Ltd., known as CRP or 卡诺普, is a Chengdu company founded in 2012 that develops, manufactures and sells industrial robot controllers, complete robots and automation solutions. Its own site organises the business into industrial robots, collaborative robots, embodied intelligence robots and other robots, with applications across metalworking and welding, general industry, automotive and components, electronics, new energy, and consumer and healthcare, and it runs a customer service line on 400-668-8633. The company's claim to distinction is that it came to embodied intelligence from industry rather than looking for industrial uses for AI: it states that its embodied intelligence solutions entered batch real-scenario use as early as 2022, and it describes the transition as turning more than a decade of industrial robot know-how into a vertical model for industrial settings, so that a robot does not merely move but understands the work. Its embodied intelligence brain is published as a two-layer architecture. The lower layer uses a 3D vision VLM with a Transformer multimodal fusion architecture, pre-trained on industrial scene images and point-cloud data, to do environment recognition, target localisation and path planning. The upper layer draws on a process knowledge base covering more than seventy industries and more than two thousand processes, combined with tactile feedback and adaptive fuzzy control, to execute complex actions, and edge and cloud computing work together to close a perception, decision, execution and iteration loop. The underlying precision comes from welding, which the company argues is the hardest test of a robot maker: its adaptive precision compensation algorithms give repeatability of 0.02 mm, positioning accuracy of 0.2 mm and path repeatability of 0.1 mm, with a mean time between failures above one hundred thousand hours. At the World Robot Conference in Beijing in August 2026 it showed a bipedal humanoid of its own, presented not as an isolated product but as the centre of a multi-form line that also includes a wheeled humanoid for mobility and manipulation and a force-controlled humanoid arm for delicate work and human-robot collaboration, which the company frames as moving from industrial manufacturing towards a much wider range of industries.
