Flexiv Robotics Inc.
Flexiv Robotics Inc., trading as Flexiv and known in Chinese as 非夕科技, is a deep-tech robotics company founded in 2016 in Santa Clara, California, with a core team drawn from the Robotics and AI Laboratory at Stanford University. It develops and manufactures what it calls general-purpose adaptive robots, which fuse industrial-grade force control with artificial intelligence so that a robot can adapt to unstructured environments and perform delicate, contact-rich work that has historically needed a human hand, rather than following rigid preprogrammed motion paths. Its product line spans the Rizon series of seven-axis force-controlled adaptive arms including the Rizon 4, 4s, 10 and 10s, the Moonlight force-controlled parallel robot, the Grav series of force-controlled grippers and the Enlight platform, with software in the form of Flexiv Elements and the RDK control interface offering 1 kHz real-time and non-real-time control. Beyond individual robots it sells Robot Systems, which package adaptive robots and accessories into ready-to-deploy solutions, and these include MICO, a compact dual-arm system built on the Enlight platform and offered in four standardised configurations named Armor, Core, Plus and Ultra; AICO, a dual-arm mobile platform built around the Rizon series with laser SLAM navigation; Mello, a robotic massage system; and a mobile manipulator built on the FMR 300 platform. The company operates seven business centres and two factories worldwide, with offices in Silicon Valley, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Singapore, Munich and a Foshan factory, and it states its mission as improving every industry through human-inspired robotics and AI while making work and life more creative and enjoyable. On 18 March 2026 Flexiv announced new strategic investment led by the global investment firm Invus with participation from existing investors, to expand research and development and accelerate a global sales and service infrastructure, and it describes itself as having grown from roots in California to a global stage. Its chief executive and co-founder Shiquan Wang was selected as a member of the World Economic Forum Young Global Leaders class of 2025.
