SKL Robotics LTD
Humanoid is a UK-based technology company focused on the research, development, and commercialization of humanoid robots. Founded in 2024 and headquartered in London, the company brings together a core team of engineers and researchers from leading global tech firms. Product Lines and Technical Strategy Humanoid follows a dual-track strategy that balances rapid deployment with long-term innovation, reflected in its two main product lines. HMND 01 Alpha (Industrial Version) A wheeled humanoid robot designed for industrial applications, launched in September 2025. Design Features: Equipped with a wheeled base for mobility, foldable body structure, and 360° rotational capability; stands 2.22 meters tall and weighs 300 kg. Performance Specifications: Capable of carrying a 15 kg payload, with a top speed of 2 m/s, 29 degrees of freedom, and approximately 4 hours of continuous operation. Core Positioning: Designed to operate “without requiring modifications to existing facilities,” enabling fast deployment in warehouses, logistics hubs, and retail environments for repetitive tasks such as picking, sorting, and loading. Business Model: Innovatively adopts a “Robotics-as-a-Service” (RaaS) model, allowing enterprises to subscribe or lease the robot, significantly lowering the barrier to adoption. HMND 01 (General-Purpose Version) A bipedal, general-purpose humanoid robot released in February 2025. Design Features: Stands 175 cm tall and weighs 70 kg—closer to average human proportions—with a high degree of flexibility provided by 41 degrees of freedom. Performance Specifications: Also supports a 15 kg payload, walks at 1.5 m/s, and has an average runtime of 4 hours. Key Advantage: Built on a modular, “building-block” design from hardware to software, allowing users to swap out end-effectors and other modules based on task requirements, greatly enhancing adaptability and cost-efficiency. Strategic Partnerships and Industry Deployment In January 2026, Humanoid formally established a strategic technology partnership with Schaeffler Group, a global leader in automotive and industrial products. Collaboration Focus: Joint development of innovative core components for humanoid robots, particularly harmonic drive actuators. Schaeffler will become the preferred supplier of actuators for Humanoid’s wheeled robots. Deployment Plan: Schaeffler plans to deploy hundreds of Humanoid robots across its global manufacturing network over the next five years to enhance automation and jointly collect operational data for performance optimization. Strategic Significance: This collaboration aims to accelerate the transition of humanoid robots from lab demonstrations to large-scale real-world applications, reinforcing Schaeffler’s technological leadership in the field. Founder’s Vision and Market Goals Artem Sokolov, Humanoid’s founder, was inspired by the repetitive manual labor he observed in his family’s jewelry factory. He believes the mission of humanoid robots is to free humans from monotonous tasks so they can focus on more creative and meaningful work. Humanoid is targeting a 3.8 billion industrial addressable market, with expectations of substantial long−term growth. The company has raised 50 million in initial funding and is actively advancing pilot tests and commercial trials for both wheeled and bipedal robots, demonstrating a clear path to market realization.
