About

Shenzhen Inovance Technology Co., Ltd., known as Inovance and in Chinese as 汇川技术, listed on the Shenzhen stock exchange under 300124, is a Chinese industrial automation company that has grown into one of the country's largest. It was founded in Shenzhen in April 2003 by Zhu Xingming, who was born in 1967 in Huarong county, Hunan, graduated in automation from Northeast Heavy Machinery Institute, now Yanshan University, and had risen to director of Huawei's Electrical product line by 1997. When Huawei sold Huawei Electrical to Emerson in October 2001 he became an executive at Emerson's Ansheng Electric, and in 2003 he left to start Inovance with an 18-person team of whom 16 came from Huawei, answering doubters with the argument that China had the soil, the need and the resources. Its first product was an inverter, and after an early struggle against established foreign brands the breakthrough came through the elevator maker Jiangnan Jiajie, which invested and brought it into the elevator controller market; the NICE3000 integrated elevator controller it developed in 2005 cut cost by 30 per cent and halved installation time. Revenue passed 300 million yuan in 2009 and the company listed on the Shenzhen ChiNext board in 2010, and trade coverage now describes it as a 190 billion yuan automation empire; its controlling shareholder group, Shenzhen Inovance Investment Co., has announced a stake increase of up to 200 million yuan running from September 2026 to March 2027. Its portfolio covers drives, motors, controllers, industrial robots and increasingly embodied intelligence. At the 26th China International Industry Fair in Shanghai in October 2026 it showed a humanoid robot publicly for the first time, inside an automotive welding demonstration line that integrates control, drive, robotics and vision into a single cell. The robot is a wheeled mobile platform carrying a seven-axis bionic arm with high-precision force control, suited to narrow workshop spaces, and it is built for harsh industrial conditions with full-body liquid cooling, IP54 protection and hot-swappable batteries; Inovance describes it as the industry's first liquid-cooled wheeled humanoid. In the demonstration it works with a vision system and an arc welding robot to load and unload workpieces and to run collaborative welding. The company places this inside a wider manufacturing stack it calls the manufacturing ontology, which aggregates process knowledge, equipment graphs, site experience and production data to interpret complex conditions, and an EiOS layer that governs business data and schedules agents through an AIP platform; it also develops cloud-edge-device integrated cabinets with China Unicom and has deployed what it calls the industry's first 5G-A plus virtual PLC cluster architecture for whole-plant control.
