柏奥尼克机器人(宁波)有限公司
PNDbotics, registered as 柏奥尼克机器人(宁波)有限公司, is a Chinese humanoid robot company founded in 2023 and headquartered in Ningbo, Zhejiang, with two intelligent manufacturing centres in Ningbo and Tianjin. The founding team has worked on the underlying technology of bionic robots since 2011, giving it roughly fifteen years of accumulated experience in core actuators, motor drives, whole-machine system integration and embodied intelligence algorithms, and the company describes itself as one of the few humanoid makers in China with full-stack in-house capability. Its product is the Adam humanoid robot series, published in four variants: Adam Lite, Adam Standard, Adam SP and Adam Pro. All four stand 1.67 m tall and walk at up to 1.5 m/s, and they differ chiefly in degrees of freedom and perception: total degrees of freedom are 25, 29, 41 and 43 respectively, and total weight is 60, 61, 62 and 63 kg. Every variant shares a 6 degree-of-freedom leg, a 3 degree-of-freedom waist, joint torque limits of roughly 340 N·m at the knee and hip, 46 N·m at the ankle and 60 N·m in the arm, a 1172 W·h battery at 46.2 V and 25 A maximum output, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0, and an Intel NUC12WSKi7 computer running the company's own whole-body control and model predictive control algorithms for dynamic balance. From Adam Standard upward the robot adds an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB module rated at 100 TOPS for perception and decision making, and an Intel RealSense D455 depth camera; Adam Pro replaces the camera with a ZED MINI and adds a 2 degree-of-freedom head. Adam Lite ships with a spherical hand, Adam Standard with no hand, and Adam SP and Adam Pro with dexterous hands. On the software side PNDbotics combines conventional model-based gait planning and whole-body control with embodied intelligence algorithms and deep reinforcement learning, and on the hardware side it develops everything from the underlying components, meaning motors and drivers, through robot joints, to the complete machine, and it also sells the components themselves including robot controller units, battery management systems and integrated modular actuators. Manufacturing is the company's stated differentiator: its Tianjin centre has reached volume capacity of several hundred humanoid robots a year, which the company and its lead investor present as the ability to deliver in the physical world rather than only in a laboratory. Adam robots are exported to Europe, North America, Japan and South Korea, and the series has been adopted by the American company Skild AI as the standard whole machine for its large model training. During the 2026 Spring Festival the robots appeared on CGTN and on CCTV-1's intangible cultural heritage gala. The company was backed at the outset in 2023 by K2VC (险峰长青), has received support from the Ningbo high-tech zone, and in early 2026 announced a new round of several hundred million yuan led by CITIC Jinshi, the private equity platform under CITIC Securities, with proceeds directed at equipment procurement, the construction of manufacturing centres and product delivery.
