RoboScience (Beijing Jike Weilai Technology Co., Ltd.), brand 机器科学 (Machine Science), is a Beijing-based general embodied-intelligence (Cross Embodiment AI) startup founded on 2024-12-31 by Tian Ye (ex-Apple AI Platform tech lead) and Shao Lin (NUS assistant professor), with co-founders Liu Penghai and Wang Tao. The company develops the Visics general embodied-intelligence foundation model based on the self-developed VLOA (Vision-Language-Object-Action) architecture, a fast/slow-brain layered end-to-end robot learning framework, and the high-precision physics simulation platform RoboMirage, using a 'simulation + video' dual data flywheel. It builds software-hardware-integrated robot intelligent modules and full robot systems, including the full-size wheeled semi-humanoid general-purpose manipulation robot REX G1, targeting supermarket, logistics, industrial and home scenarios. The company completed a seed round (2025-04, Zero One Ventures), an angel round of nearly RMB 200 million (2025-07-30, led by JD.com with CMB Capital and Shangtang Guoxiang Capital), and a Pre-A round of hundreds of millions of RMB (2026-02). It ranked in Forbes China Top 50 AI companies and The Information's Global 50 most promising startups, and partnered with Tencent Cloud.
