The University of Tehran is Irans oldest modern university, founded in 1934. Its Center of Advanced Systems and Technologies (CAST) developed the Surena humanoid robot series (Surena 1-4); Surena 4 (2019) is about 170 cm / 68 kg with 43 DOF, capable of bipedal walking, stair climbing and object manipulation.
