Shandong Youbaote Intelligent Robot Co., Ltd.
Shandong Youbaote Intelligent Robot Co., Ltd., which trades as Yobotics and in Chinese as 优宝特, is a Shandong robotics company founded in 2014 that has spent twelve years working on legged robots and now builds both quadrupeds and humanoids. It was registered in January as Yongbo Information Technology, sold the country's first hydraulic servo arm, the YoboArm, and the country's first small quadruped bionic robot, e-Dog, and changed its name to Shandong Youbaote Intelligent Robot Co., Ltd. in December of that year. Its core team comes from the robotics research centre at Shandong University and the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the company has built a full-stack self-developed system spanning core components, the robot body, the motion-control cerebellum and the intelligent brain; it describes itself as a high-tech enterprise introduced by the Shandong provincial government and has been selected into the Mount Taishan Industrial Leading Talent Plan and Jinan's programme for introducing high-level entrepreneurial talent. It works from Shandong with a Shenzhen research centre and subsidiary, and it sells a deliberately multi-form range under the phrase 智驭多形: quadruped series including the Y5, Y10, E15, Y20, Y20-W, Y30 and Y30-W, hydraulic manipulator arms, hydraulic core components, robot joint modules, a multirotor flight-control experiment platform, and the humanoid line. Its stated logic is that robots should not perform but work in the most dangerous places, targeting high-risk, heavy-load scenarios where people cannot easily go, and it has been running national research programmes since 2017, including the Ministry of Science and Technology's service robot cloud service platform under the intelligent robot special project. Its humanoid is E1, known as Xingzhe Taishan, which it developed in under two months in 2024, filling a gap for Shandong, and which won the tug-of-war event at the second World Humanoid Robot Games in August 2026 to take Shandong's first gold of the games, after the first games in 2025 where it won the 100 metre exhibition event and took bronze in the 4x100 metre relay and finished the 1500 metres on a self-developed fall-recovery algorithm after losing an arm. On 3 September 2026 the company announced an A+ round in the hundreds of millions of yuan led by Dongzheng Capital, the private equity arm of Orient Securities and the first securities-house investor the company has brought in, with Jinan Xianxing Investment Group and Zibo High-tech Zone Venture Capital joining as new shareholders and the angel-round investor Legend Star following on, taking cumulative financing to several hundred million yuan. The company says it will use the money to build out a national production and service network, to push robots into mining, emergency response and power scenarios, and to develop next-generation high power-density integrated joint modules, industrial and consumer humanoids and heavy-duty and explosion-proof quadrupeds.
