KonKa-1 (Chinese name 贡嘎一号) is the first humanoid robot developed in Chengdu, unveiled on 2024-10-28 at the Chengdu Tech Innovation Eco-Island by Chengdu Humanoid Robot Innovation Center. It combines a wheeled chassis with a vertical torso, a single articulated arm and a head-mounted display, an architecture built for indoor mobile manipulation rather than walking. The current generation documented on the company's official product page stands 1660 mm tall, weighs under 35 kg and has 13 degrees of freedom, with a 3 kg end-effector payload and a quick-change wrist. It runs an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin computing unit combined with the centre's own 3DSGs brain technology, which the company says supports large-space, cross-scene and unstructured task execution. Perception uses head and wrist depth cameras, LiDAR and anti-fall sensing, with a speaker and microphone array for voice interaction. Battery life is about 6 hours with self-charging, and the platform provides abundant USB ports, high-power external power outputs and an 8-inch head touch screen for debugging, alongside developer documentation, SDKs and sample code and an open developer community for secondary development. The first 2024 generation was an ultra-lightweight unit at 25 kg with a 5.5 kg maximum payload, an 8-hour battery and a load-to-weight ratio of 0.22, built with about 60% of components sourced from Chengdu's local supply chain and positioned for university labs, concept-validation centres, education, elderly care and emergency-safety settings.

Application Scenarios

Elderly care; household service; companionship; research and secondary development
