Computing
NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 64GB with a 1 TB SSD, running a modular software stack with full SDK access. The stack covers modular autonomy with navigation, mapping and human awareness; whole-body teleoperation with floor-to-countertop reach, integrated grippers, easy piloting through a companion app; and social behaviours including interactive behaviours, conversation-driven interaction and dynamic expressions. No further processor detail is published.
Sensors
ZED 2i stereoscopic vision; four time-of-flight sensors; a torso IMU; onboard safety sensing for safer human interaction

Sprout is Fauna Robotics' lightweight, two-legged humanoid, sold as Sprout Creator Edition and pitched as a development platform rather than a finished appliance: the company built the platform it wished existed so that teams could move from idea to prototype to deployment without reinventing the fundamentals. It is small by humanoid standards and meant to be approachable rather than imposing - 107 cm tall and 22.7 kg, wrapped in a soft exterior with lightweight materials and minimised pinch points, and driven by compliant motor control that yields to external forces instead of resisting them, backed by onboard safety sensing and a tiered safety system. It expresses itself as much as it moves: articulated eyebrows, a full colour 360 degree facial LED array and a 2 DoF neck sit above a directional microphone array and dual high fidelity speakers, so it can hold conversations, show dynamic expressions and behave interactively. It has 29 degrees of freedom in total, made up of 6 DoF arms, robust 1 DoF grippers with rubberized interiors, 5 DoF legs and the 2 DoF neck, and it walks on two legs with low-impact feet. Sensing comes from a ZED 2i stereoscopic camera, four time-of-flight sensors and a torso IMU, and the compute is an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 64GB with a 1 TB SSD. A swappable battery gives 3 to 3.5 hours, and usability details include an ergonomic handle, an E-Stop and an Ethernet port. The software covers three areas: full-stack capabilities with autonomy that works out of the box, whole-body teleoperation with floor-to-countertop reach and a companion app for piloting, and modular autonomy with navigation, mapping and human awareness, all accessible through a modular stack with full SDK access. It is aimed at retail and hospitality, consumer and home use, research and education, and entertainment and experiences, with custom voices and gestures for interactive characters. It is priced at USD 50,000 and the company says it is shipping today.

Application Scenarios

Retail and hospitality, welcoming guests, showcasing products and guiding shoppers in stores, lobbies and pop-ups with custom voices and gestures; consumer and home, as a personal assistant, a companion for family members or a home concierge; research and education, collecting real-world data and advancing AI research in locomotion, manipulation and interactive behaviours, and serving as a platform for engineering curricula, student projects and competitions; entertainment and experiences, bringing interactive characters to life in parks, attractions and live experiences
