TIAGo Pro is PAL Robotics' next-generation open-source mobile manipulator, launched in 2023 as the successor to TIAGo and TIAGo++. It pairs a humanoid upper body with a wheeled omnidirectional base: a torso that lifts through 35 cm, an expressive head with pan/tilt, RGB-D camera, 10-inch touchscreen face, four-microphone array and stereo speakers, and two 7-DoF torque-sensed arms with 3 kg payload each, giving 23 degrees of freedom in total and a workspace of roughly 7 m3 for high coverage with minimal repositioning. The base uses four Mecanum wheels with two 360-degree laser scanners, and the arms reach 92 cm vertically and 236 cm horizontally. PAL emphasises co-design for spatial flexibility, safe collaboration and intuitive HRI, and the platform is built for ROS 2 with MoveIt2, Nav2, ros2_control, a PAL SDK Docker image, RViz plugins and MuJoCo and Gazebo simulation. Compute is an Intel i5 with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, upgradable to Intel i7 with 32 GB, 1 TB and an NVIDIA Jetson PC. Options include 25 m LiDAR, a wrist force/torque sensor, an Allegro 16-DoF hand with tactile fingertips, additional batteries and a charging dock, and a dedicated teleoperation station.
