KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) is a leading South Korean research university founded in 1971 in Daejeon. Its humanoid robot program (Humanoid Robot Research Center, HUBO Lab, Prof. Jun-Ho Oh) developed the HUBO series: HUBO 2 (2004), Albert HUBO (2005, with Hanson Robotics), DRC-HUBO+ (2015), which won first place in the 2015 DARPA Robotics Challenge finals.
