It describes itself as a software company whose purpose is to make cognitive robotics widely available, and as the first Italian company to build humanoid robots with cognitive artificial intelligence, a model it presents for Industry 5.0. Its product is the RoBee series, which it says was the first cognitive humanoid robot made in Italy to reach the market and the first cognitive humanoid robot certified to operate in a factory; three variants exist, RoBee R for industry, RoBee M for healthcare and RoBee F for intralogistics. RoBee is already operating in Italy and abroad. The company has expanded into the United States: in 2025 it opened a US headquarters through Oversonic, Inc. at 3680 Symmes Road, Hamilton, Ohio, just outside Cincinnati, reachable on +1 (513) 9731310. On 9 August 2021 Fintel, the financial holding of the Bulgarelli family, took 33 per cent of the company at a valuation of 14 million euros, in a capital increase aimed at accelerating commercialisation. On 23 June 2026 STMicroelectronics, Fondazione ENEA Tech e Biomedical and SpotInvest entered the share capital to accelerate industrial, technological and international development and to strengthen the company's position in the United States; the size of that capital increase was not disclosed, but ENEA Tech is reported to have invested 7 million euros. Among the partners already in the company before that round were Comat, Datalogic and the Cysero fund of Avm Sgr. STMicroelectronics becomes the lead partner for the company's industrial ambitions, while Fondazione ENEA Tech e Biomedical supports the path towards humanoids certified for healthcare and SpotInvest, a vehicle linked to the entrepreneur Marco Setti, opens applications in services, process automation and food. The company publishes product sheets, a brand guide, logo packs, a manifesto and a press review for journalists and partners, and its certifications cover CE marking and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/CE, ISO 27001, ISO 6 cleanroom, EMC-EMI, IPX4 and GDPR.
